Weather Alert! Snow, Rain over the Weekend in Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh
A cyclonic circulation over northeastern India will bring fairly widespread snow or rain and thunderstorms over Arunachal Pradesh on Saturday.
However Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura may witness scattered rain with thunderstorms.
Likewise, isolated snow or rain is likely in Sikkim. The instability in northeast will decline briefly and will become active from Monday.
A Western Disturbance (WD) currently located over north India will trigger scattered snow or rain in Jammu and Kashmir. Also, isolated snow or rain is likely in Himachal Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Kerala. The rest of the country can witness dry weather conditions.
In Northern, Central, Eastern and North-Eastern India maximum temperatures are cooler than normal. They are warmer than normal over western and southern India on Saturday.
Air quality in major cities across India, especially in Delhi, will fall under the poor to very poor category.
This cyclonic circulation will continue bringing isolated snow or rain in Arunachal Pradesh on Sunday and beyond. Though, isolated rainfall can take place in Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura.
A fresh Western Disturbance may affect north India from 25th March causing isolated snow in Jammu and Kashmir. Other northern states like Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Delhi and Rajasthan may also witness isolated rain. Likewise, Maharashtra, Telangana and Kerala are also likely to experience isolated rainfall.
In entire Northwest Plains including Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan and Delhi, weather will once again go dry from March 26 onwards. Western parts of Uttar Pradesh can continue with scattered rains and thundershower activities.
