Thirty eight CRPF jawans were killed in a powerful IED blast on the Jammu-Srinagar highway on Thursday.

A CRPF convoy of 70 vehicles was targeted by an explosives-laden SUV that was being driven by a Jaish suicide bomber identified as Adil Ahmad Dar. The vehicle rammed into one of the CRPF buses, killing over 38 of its occupants.

India on Thursday condemned the devastating Pulwama terror attack that left 38 CRPF personnel dead.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister has announced an-exgratia of Rs 25 lakh to the families of the 12 CRPF jawans from UP who were killed in the Pulwama terror attack on Thursday.

The NIA team that has left for Kashmir is being headed by G Mukesh Singh, a 1996 batch J&K cadre officer. The 12-member team will start investigating the attack soon. Singh is currently on deputation with NIA. He has handled terror-related cases including the ones in Nagrota, Sunjuwan and Uri.
