The Government of India has issued notification for official division of its state of Jammu and Kashmir into two new union territories. Such administrative Units are governed by the central government in New Delhi through a Lt Governor.

In some UTs the local administration is run by an elected government but police , law and order and few other things as notified remain under the Lt Governor. The entire territory of erstwhile Principality of J& K of Maharaja Hari Singh have now been divided in to two parts and placed under the administration of the two Union Territories.

Though this was totally expected and a natural move pertaining to bifurcation , it highlights to the world not only the illegal occupation of a part of Poonch district of UT of J& K by Pakistan including Mirpur, Kotli and Bhimbar but also Muzaffarabad district of UT of Ladhak and Gilgit and adjoining areas of Ladhak, Further now the entire World has also come to know that even China is having illegal possession of vast tracts of Leh district of Ladhak,
No wonder this has shamed China in front of the entire World and so China has opposed this legitimate move of India by claiming certain parts of Leh district as its own territory.

The Chinese media has termed this internal action of India as a unilateral and hegemonic move to change the autonomous status of Kashmir.

They claim that this course of action has escalated tensions in the region not only between India-Pakistan to a very dangerous point due to their long-held conflicts but also a new border dispute could be ignited between India and China.

Chinese media has forgotten that India and China do not share any border except along the Xinjiang Province of China. Though the UT of Ladhak shares borders with Tibet now under Chinese occupation.

India has stated its Sovereignty over areas which legally belong to India , even though presently some areas may be under illegal occupation of Pakistan or China. The illegal move of these two Countries have infringed India’s sovereignty.

According to Indian Home Ministry’s notification on Saturday detailing the boundaries of the two newly created union territories, the “Union Territory of Ladakh” includes Aksai Chin, which has been under illegal occupation of China after it forcefully captured Tibet first and then advanced into Indian territory.

India’s deliberate decision will now definitely force China to re think and it will be best for it to vacate all Indian territory immediately.

The Tibetan issue can then be decided by trilateral talks between Tibetan Government in Exile, China and India.

Chinese President Xi Jinping recently had an informal meeting with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the southern Indian city of Chennai in October.

The creation of the two new union territories will now give an impetus in resolving all boundary issues pertaining to UT of Ladhak on the Indian Side and Xinjiang Province on the Chinese side. Aksai Chin boundary with Tibet will also need to be resolved.

The Indian Parliament and the people of India do not recognize the legitimacy of the Chinese hegemony over Tibet which has been an independent country all along.

In case China tries to reinforce its defense at borders between India and Tibet, then India too will have no options left but to firmly safeguard its sovereignty and territories and enhance cooperation with the Tibetan Government in Exile and jointly oppose China’s move on Indian and Tibetan Sovereignty.

Such moves by both sides may trigger new border disputes between China and India. How will this affect China-India ties? How will it influence World stability and security? This needs to be answered by the Chinese think tanks..

Occupation of Indian area of Aksai Chin part of Union Territory of Ladakh shows China’s nefarious intent to grab Indian territory after it captured whole of Tibet.

China would not admit it and has firmly opposed India’s demand of vacating the area thus damaging peace and stability in the region since last 60 years.

India has been perforce maintaining a low profile on the issue over the last 60 years. However now India’s new Government has pledged to the Nation to get back all Indian territories under occupation.

AraChina and India have been peaceful neighbours since last 7000 years with close cultural and trade relationship except a very short border skirmish in 1962.

Therefore India will only exercise the option of peaceful negotiations with China over the boundary issue and has a declared NFU of Force.

Both Countries must strive to maintain peace and negotiate their differences and provide economic stability to the entire World as they had done earlier till around 1600 AD.
