On Hong Kong India Must Side With China And Trash United Kingdom

When riots had broken out in London in August 2011,more than 3,000 people were arrested, with at least 1,774 charged and 317 sentenced. Probably at that time the DEMOCRACY of the British was holidaying in Istanbul.

The UK government harsh action on its own people during the London riots are well documented. Then-Home Secretary Theresa May had defined the London riots as a crime. There was also a Reuters report titled “UK may use army in future riots – Cameron.”

It seems the British Isles have different yard sticks when riots strike London and another when it happens somewhere else. So for nothing, a British General had no qualms to order Machine Gun firing at Jalianwala Bagh on peaceful protestors.

However they side with terrorists when it comes to Indian action to eliminate them in Kashmir. They have not given freedom to the Northern Ireland or Scotland but are so eager to back the Khalistani Terrorists political activities in London.

No wonder after demonstrators stormed and vandalized the Hong Kong Legislative Council, British Foreign Secretary Jeremy Hunt did not criticize the violent protesters.

Instead, he demanded that China abide by the 1984 Sino-British Joint Declaration, which has long since been fulfilled, and warned of “serious consequences” if China neglects commitments. Hunt said, “We stand foursquare behind the people of Hong Kong” and urged the Hong Kong regional government not to “repress” its people.

Imagine a statement of this kind from a rump of a nation and that too against China. Will the British send their Imperial Fleet to China once again …..last time it had been against Argentina.

Hunt’s statements have gone too far. Some people say that he made the strong statements for contending for the leadership of the Conservative Party to become British prime minister. However this can be no justification. If Hong Kong’s recent unrest had happened in London and if the UK parliament was violently broken in, we can imagine the British reaction.

Government of India should denounce such a statement fro the Home Minister of UK in no uncertain terms. UK has been playing this kind of great game against India since long. Many a times its MPs try and raise the issue of Kashmir and Khalistan. They need to stop forthwith. How about expelling UK from the Commonwealth for such behaviour !!!

China has reacted strongly to Hunt’s words, and called it “shameless”. This support from the British is the main reasons behind Hong Kong’s unrest apart from some other deep internal reasons. A few Hongkongers’ dissatisfaction has turned into antagonism, which has obviously supported by Western forces, including Hunt and US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, who praised the protesters’ “courage.”

Under the “one country, two systems” policy, Hong Kong maintains its capitalism. Consequently, some Hongkongers’ political values echo that of the West. But Hong Kong is and will remain always a part of China. The West is just trying to ferment trouble to unsettle China.

China cannot prevent people like Hunt and Pelosi from talking wildly about Hong Kong. However people have to understand that Hong Kong was ruled by British governors appointed by the UK, and there were no chief executive elections and so no demonstrations. People could not enjoy democracy and freedom as they do today.

The Chinese have declared that No power can really subvert relations between Hong Kong and the Chinese mainland, and mislead Hong Kong society with any ideological labels. Hunt inflamed Hong Kong’s situation, which only ruins his and the UK’s image. He sabotaged China-UK relations for his personal political interests.
