Why his department is being singled out, wonders Navjot Sidhu
After lying low for some time Punjab Local Bodies Minister Navjot Singh Sidhu on Thursday hit out at Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh asking why his department was being singled out of the 60-odd departments.
Countering the allegation of non-performance, Sidhu said he had performed to the best of his ability and disbursed all funds under various schemes.
Addressing select media at his house here, Sidhu gave details of the distribution of money under various schemes. “I have not retained even a single rupee and have all record with me,” Sidhu said.
Sidhu said he had been hitting out at Narendra Modi and the Badals, who had managed to win only from Bathinda and Ferozepur.
Sidhu had raised a controversy over his “friendly match” jibe at the CM on the last day of the election campaign in Bathinda. The CM had then questioned Sidhu’s performance as Local Bodies Minister, saying he was thinking of changing his department.
