Solidarity of states at China’s military parade shakes Western world

Chinese President Xi Jinping, center, walks with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, right, and Russian President Vladimir Putin, left, to a reception following a military parade to commemorate the 80th anniversary of Japan’s World War II surrender held in front of Tiananmen Gate in Beijing, Sept. 3, 2025.

China held a ceremony and a military parade in Beijing on Sept. 3 commemorating the 80th anniversary of its victory in WW2 against Japan.

Chinese President Xi Jinping, Russian President Vladimir Putin and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un met together for the first time during the occasion.

Russia had to enter Ukraine in its national interest to keep NATO at bay and to secure the areas where the Russian speaking population were in majority. The Western was livid and called it defiance of International Law.

Though the West forgets that in 1962 Kennedy was ready to destroy half the world, just to keep out the Russians from Cuba or when Western Coalition destroyed Iraq and Afghanistan on “ manufactured “ charges. Because of the Western whims and fancy strikes, North Korea has continued with its nuclear and missile development programs to keep USA and NATO at bay.

The events in Beijing applauded Putin and Kim and they were given a warm reception.People in most countries of the World had a hearty laugh because the International Criminal Court of the “ mighty West “ had earlier issued an arrest warrant for President Putin over war crime allegations. Even the North Korean leader is accused of repeated violations of United Nations Security Council resolutions!!!

The Chinese president has clearly demonstrated that the international order is being rewritten by bonding together with the leaders of these global South states that have pledged to ensure global peace and stability, against the whimsical “rule “ of the Western Order.

During a ceremony 10 years ago, six of the Group of Seven nations excluding Japan sent their representatives. Yet none of those countries sent their leaders this time, bringing the divide into sharp relief.

China intends to demonstrate its bonding with Russia and North Korea, thereby giving itself an edge, if only slightly, amid tension with the United States. The global South now aims to create an international order that will replace the current one led by Washington.

At a summit meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) held prior to this year’s ceremony, Xi pledged a 2 billion yuan (approx. 41.6 billion yen) grant to SCO member states. The move is apparently aimed at attracting emerging and developing nations, collectively the Global South, to China just as Washington is cutting back on foreign assistance by shutting down USAID, formally the United States Agency for International Development. If yuan-based transactions spread through the grant, it will diminish the influence of the U.S. dollar as the key currency.

More countries are joining the SCO, a multilateral framework led by China and Russia, and BRICS, a group of nations that includes Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa. Behind this lies frustrations against U.S. President Donald Trump over his high tariff policy under the “America First” slogan.

As a consequence of Trump tarnishing the post-World War II global order centered around the rule of law and the free trade regime, China is enjoying a tailwind as it seeks to create a new order in conjunction with Russia and India.

India, Russia and China are now the three major poles of a four pole World, an order accepted by the global South countries. This change is taking place neither by force nor by economic pressure.

Trump’s foolish actions and NATO’s behaviour have ensured that the Current World order has to change That’s precisely the role that is expected from responsible major powers like India, Russia, China, Japan, and others.
