Why majority of Jews in NYC elected an Islamist, socialist Jew-hater?

On (and before, thanks to early voting) November 4, blue-state America abandoned the Constitution, Judeo-Christian values, morality, parental authority, and the rule of law to embrace a destructive ideology from the 19th century. True, the Democratic Party was the big winner on Election Night.
Virginia elected as its Attorney General a man who fantasized about murdering not only his Republican opponent but their children as well, relishing the distress it would cause their mother, not to mention having been cited for driving 116 miles per hour, more than twice the speed limit.
Voters in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, Nashua, New Hampshire, and elsewhere removed Republicans from school boards and replaced them with acolytes of the Marxist-dominated teachers unions, who are contemplating, aided by compliant state legislatures and governors, abolishing private education so that every school child in America can be indoctrinated in the woke catechism of DEI, trans-gendering children without notifying their parents, and denying the existence of G-d.
And most shocking of all, voters in New York City, the metropolis with 1.2 million Jews, the most of any place outside Israel, elected by majority vote as its mayor an Islamist, socialist Jew-hater whose political experience consisted of serving as a New York State Assembly member.
This is a man who campaigned with an imam who was a character witness for the 1993 World Trade Center bombers, who embraces globalizing the intifada (that is, killing Jews everywhere) and who openly denies the right of Israel to exist as a Jewish state, the only nation on earth whose legitimacy is questioned. Tragically, an estimated 30% of Jews rejected their identity and their faith in favor of leftist ideology by voting for him.
As gut-wrenching as all the above is, even worse is that the biggest winner Tuesday night was the 19th century incarnation of evil, Karl Marx. His vile ideology was reflected not only by the new mayor of America’s financial capital, who proposed seizing the means of production, freezing rent, opening government-run grocery stories, taxing wealthy white neighborhoods (even though much of his financial support came from leftist billionaires like George Soros), and replacing police, at least in part, by social workers as part of the campaign to abolish prisons and national borders, but by the captains of industry, the national media, the educational establishment from kindergarten through graduate school, and the purveyors of popular entertainment.
Podcaster Jennifer Welch went so far as to suggest the Democratic establishment needs to get on board with wanting conservatives dead or else far-leftists will come “after you in the same way that we come after MAGA.”
In short, the United States of America is being fundamentally transformed, to use Barack Obama’s term, into the Soviet Union 2.0. We can look forward to real brutal repression, not the imaginary kind disingenuously attributed to Donald Trump, to increasing violence in our cities, especially directed against Jews, to children being snatched from their parents by amoral bureaucrats, to medical care being prioritized by the patient’s race, sex, and gender identity, and to having to worship the Almighty in private homes with the blinds drawn to avoid detection.
To summarize, in the words of Thomas Jefferson, whose legacy is now being systematically dismantled, even to the point of removing statues of him from public spaces, “Indeed I tremble for my country when reflect that God is just: that his justice cannot sleep for ever: that considering numbers, nature and natural means only, a revolution of the wheel of fortune, an exchange of situation, is among possible events: that it may become probable by supernatural interference! The Almighty has no attribute which can take side with us in such a contest.”
