China Needs To Peacefully Resolve Conflict With Tibet And Taiwan And Hong Kong

The Indian Parliament on Monday introduced a measure to scrap the special status of Jammu and Kashmir and passed it with two third majority, thus displaying the resolve of the people of India. The decision triggered dismay, desperation and panic all rolled into one among the majority of those manning the top echelons of Pakistan Government, Pakistan Army, ISI and of course the terrorist outfits. Not knowing what to say or what to do the Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan has vowed to fight India. It may be better option for him to abdicate or commit Harakiri if he desires, why commit whole of Pakistan to destruction.
During the 2019 India general elections, the BJP had pledged to scrap Kashmir’s special status. Today, about three months after the overwhelming victory in May, the BJP has fulfilled its promise. What should have been done by 1960 has been done now. Not removing Article 370 in time had turned it into a festering sore. It has now been removed before it could turn cancerous.

Being an internal matter of India, similar to problems in Xinjiang Province of China, the Indian Cabinet decided on introducing a bill for abolition of the outdated Article 370 of the Constitution. In case Pakistan or any other Power in the region or in the world is unhappy with it, then it is their problem, not India’s. It will not trigger any conflict in the region. There will be no escalation of any kind nor any tension in Kashmir because it has been welcomed by the majority of the Indians including the majority in Jammu, the majority in Ladhak and even the majority in Kashmir Valley. Various challenges to India’s security which earlier could not be tackled due to constraints of Article 370, are not there any more. Within no time full scale development will commence and the region will start prospering as rest of the Union of India.

Nearly the whole world has welcomed this reorganization of Kashmir except the Government of China. It has expressed its dissatisfaction, because now the entire world has come to know that China has been in illegal possession of the western part of the Ladhak called Aksaichin and shakhagam areas for so long. Apart from this China also constructed its road as part of OBOR in the illegally occupied territory of Kashmir known as POK, thereby undermining India’s Sovereignty.
China should not undermine India’s territorial sovereignty by such actions.
China should never try to interfere in the India’s internal matters or even in bilateral disputes between India and Pakistan. It should not even think of harming India’s national interest.China by commenting on reorganization of J&K State has sabotaged the hard-fought and developing relationship between China and India. India will always defend its sovereignty with every thing at its disposal.

In fact China is advised to settle its territorial disputes with the Tibetans and Government of Taiwan and also all its problems with people of Hong Kong before commenting on Kashmir or Jammu or Ladhak. All historical disputes should be resolved through peaceful negotiations. India will always be ready to mediate on the decades-old Tibet- China conflict and Taiwan -China Conflict. It can also mediate to resolve the Hong Kong problem if China so wishes.

Instead of acting unilaterally to suppress the freedom loving people of Tibet, China should welcome India to break the deadlock. In other words, China should try and reduce, not increase, tensions in Tibet, Taiwan and Hong Kong.

The most important thing for China is to resolve the issue through negotiations with both the Tibetans and the Taiwanese. India will always be ready to help out as a good neighbour and a good friend. The China Tibet and China Taiwan conflict has lasted more than seven decades. Should it last for several more generations?
