Butter seems to be quite cheap in USA and therefore no wonder Marco Rubio is applying it liberally and publicly crediting his boss Donald Trump with not only ending the whipping being administered to Pakistan but also preventing a potential war between India and Pakistan.
The above praise is supposed to have been showered by Rubio In remarks at a White House Cabinet meeting. Rubio stated, “Under your leadership, we’ve prevented and ended a war between India and Pakistan,” highlighting it as a major foreign policy achievement of the Trump administration.
Rubio has forgotten to dwell on just a small thing …..The Cabinet Committee Security under the leadership of PM had already taken a decision to call the nuclear bluff of Pakistan and administer a solid punishment. So while doing it why anyone would even ponder on any message from leader of any other country who starts talking of a nuclear clash ?
Just to buttress his arguments, Rubio also referenced other diplomatic successes, such as peace efforts in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Rwanda, and expressed optimism about ongoing negotiations in other conflict zones. No wonder everyone is now talking about a Nobel Peace Prize for Trump …..and that’s the whole game plan.
Rubio ji, for Indians this Nobel Peace Prize became redundant the day it was not presented to Mahatma Gandhi. Rather by presenting the award to him, the Prize itself, Mr Alfred Nobel, and Sweden all would have honoured themselves.
With Trump himself reiterating the claim, stating that at the height of military tensions between India and Pakistan, his administration warned both countries that the US would suspend all trade if the conflict escalated, he is only degrading and weakening his presidency itself. To mediate between India and Pakistan, Trump should first have a peace summit with North Korea which can be arranged in New Delhi.
Trump’s bluff that India must sign the Trade Deal by 9 Jul 2025 too has been called and were do we see him ? However now it is India which has given him a tree weeks breather.
Very cleverly the US Foreign Ministry has also clarified that Rubio’s and Trump’s statements reflect personal opinions rather than documented diplomatic mediation, and there is no concrete evidence of direct US involvement in brokering the ceasefire. Real charming.
Well as per Govt of India Operation Sindoor is not over. So let Pakis try anything afresh and Trump will be given another chance to stop another war.
