EU Council approves 17th sanctions package….will simply not work

The restrictions on these tankers mean a ban on entry into EU ports and on any transactions by European companies with these vessels
EU foreign ministers have in a fit of brainless action have approved the 17th package of sanctions against Russia, nearly 200 tankers were added to the blacklist, High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice-President of the European Commission Kaja Kallas wrote on social media X.
“The EU has approved its 17th sanctions package against Russia, targeting nearly 200 shadow fleet ships,” Kallas wrote, adding that “more sanctions on Russia are in the works.”
She did not specify which countries’ flags these tankers are sailing under. The restrictions on them mean a ban on entry into EU ports and on any transactions by European companies with these vessels.
Earlier, upon arrival at the meeting of EU foreign ministers, Kallas said that EU countries are already working on the 18th package of sanctions against Russia.
According to sources, the 17th package also includes adding several dozen Russian individuals and legal entities in the EU blacklist.
European Union thinks that it’s sanctions will terrify Russia. These sanctions will fall flat as earlier sanctions. In fact the World, especially the BRICS nations are now losing their patience against these irritating actions of the European Union.
