Australia, till now one of the most sought-after destinations for West European and USA tourists, is experiencing a significant surge in visitors from India.

For the year ending June 2025, Indian arrivals to Australia increased by 8%, marking a notable uptick in tourism.

With over 22 weekly direct flights connecting major cities in India to Australia, improved accessibility is playing a pivotal role in this growth.

Notably, the visa process for Indian tourists has become simpler and faster, further contributing to the rise in visits.

According to Tourism Australia, Indian tourists are now spending more than ever before, with the total expenditure from India increasing by 24% to approximately ₹16,200 crore. The number of nights spent by Indian visitors in Australia has also risen by 16%, bringing the total to nearly 30 lakh nights in the year.
