India sets up field hospital in Mahiyanganaya for flood-hit communities

A fully operational military field hospital has been established in Mahiyanganaya, near Kandy, by an Indian Army medical team to support flood-affected communities with urgent healthcare needs.

The field unit 60 Para Field Hospital is equipped to provide trauma care, surgical services, ambulances, and other essential medical assistance to residents impacted by the disaster.

In a post on X, the High Commission of India in Colombo said the facility has been set up to deliver critical medical support directly to one of the hardest-hit areas, ensuring affected residents have access to life-saving treatment.
