Military Attache From 26 Countries Visit LAC On Arunachal Borders

A delegation of Foreign Service Attaches from 26 nations, visited the areas near Line of Actual Control (LAC) in Arunachal Pradesh with an aim to understand the prevailing situation in forward areas and to acquaint them with the functioning of the Indian Army.

The delegates were received and briefed by the Formation Commander on the operational environment and challenges faced by the troops in border areas, a defence communiqué informed here on Sunday.

The delegation then visited the Darka heritage village in West Siang district, where they witnessed the local traditions, customs and culture.

The delegation expressed their appreciation for the Indian Army for its unflinching commitment and dedication in executing assigned task under difficult conditions as also for its efforts in community building, the communiqué added.

This visit too is likely to be protested by China as they think that Arunachal belongs to them, similar to their claim over Tibet.
