Modi supports Trump’s actions to end Ukrainian Conflict

The Prime Minister also stressed that India has been advocating for a peaceful resolution to the conflict since the beginning of the conflict
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is pleased with the fact that US President Donald Trump has tried to end the conflict in Ukraine through peaceful negotiations by calling Russian leader Vladimir Putin and Zelensky.
Responding to journalists’ questions at a ceremony as part of his talks with Trump, Modi said that he is “very happy” with Trump’s initiatives to restore peace and the US President’s telephone conversations with President Putin and Zelensky.
The Prime Minister also stressed that India has been advocating for a peaceful resolution to the conflict since the beginning of the conflict.
“The world had this thinking that India somehow is a neutral country in this whole process. But this is not true. India has a side, and that side is of peace.
From the very first day, I have been talking about the importance of dialog and diplomacy and a peaceful solution,” Modi said.
“I have firm conviction that problems cannot be resolved on the battlefield. The two sides will have to come to the negotiating table,” he added.
