Mufti ‘s Powder Keg Missing During Kashmiri Pandits Exodus, Article 35A Removal Will Turn Powder keg To Sand

Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti along with her Father had uttered not a word when the forced exodus of Kashmiri Pundits was taking place from the Kashmir Valley. Now this lady has found her voice to warn the Centre against the revocation of Article 35A. She tried to thunder that any tinkering with the constitutional provision would be akin to setting a powder keg on fire.

Addressing a function in Srinagar to celebrate the Peoples Democratic Party’s 20th Foundation Day, Mufti asked her party workers to get ready for a big fight for the protection of Article 35A, which gives special rights and privileges to the state’s permanent residents. Are Kashmiri Pandits not permanent residents of Kashmir Valley ?

“We want to tell the Central government that tinkering with Article 35A will be akin to setting a powder keg on fire,” the PDP president said. “If any hand tries to touch Article 35A, not only that hand, but that whole body will be burnt to ashes.”

Mufti said they would fight till death any attempt to tinker with the state’s special status.

The former chief minister said many attempts would be made to harass the PDP and its leaders. She said New Delhi knew the PDP was the “only party” that “stands like a wall” to protect the state’s special status and identity.

Well, first the Pandits will leave their camps in Jammu and else where and they will be move to their true home that is the Kashmir Valley. Then will take place the doubling of the rail link from Banihal to Baramullah together with the completion of bridge on Chenab..

This will link Baramullah to Kanyakumari. A permanent airbase cum civil airport in Kargil is already taking shape. Next will be the rail link from Banihal to Sonamarg via Kangan. In time will be completed the Zozila road tunnel. By this time Leh would be linked by rail to Manali. The final frontier will be the rail tunnel at Zozila. Chusul to Kanyakumari will get linked.

Article 35A will get consigned to history books.
