Shri Biden Ji Must Stop Whining,  Indians Are Fed Up

Shri Joe Biden it seems has become totally senile. This is clear from his off the cuff comments on various things including Putin and India. His recent statement to business leaders, that India was “somewhat shaky” in acting against Russia for its invasion of Ukraine, has again raised the hackles of most of the India.

Such people can keep whining about India and at times even threatening India of CAATSA and what not. One rouge that is Nixon had the audacity of even sending a nu clear powered aircraft carriers armed with nuclear weapons. What did he achieve ? A determined India carried out its first nuclear explosion in less than three years.

Next a set of similar minded Johnnies started toying with the idea of NPT etc and then India had no option left but to carry out a few nuclear tests of its own and thus end their hegemony in the nuclear club. Same thing was done to MTCR by the Indian PRITHVI and AGNI series of missiles.

So Shri senile Joe should be encouraged by all Americans to refrain from playing the politics of opportunism and accuse India of such things; in the long term, there may be serious consequences for USA trade, business interests etc with India.

Soon after Vladimir Putin ordered the invasion of Ukraine on 26 February, a wave of condemnation followed against the violation of the East European country’s sovereignty. India, however, refused to follow in the footsteps of such countries.

On 26 February, when the UN Security Council, in an emergency meeting, took up the Ukraine invasion, India and China stood alone in ‘abstaining’ from condemning Russia. As a close friend, India could have voted for friend Russia ( Ukraine has never sided with India on various issues vital to India’s National Interest ) but abstained because War does not solve any problem.

The resolution was vetoed, and it moved to the United Nations General Assembly. Here too, while 141 countries condemned the invasion, India stood with 35 nations who ‘abstained’. India knows what to do and has done it. We do not have to give any explanation to any INSPECTOR Sahib or any MASTERJI.

India’s permanent UN representative T.S. Trimurti did bring out that it was “deeply disturbed” by Russia’s actions, India again abstained from two other procedural votes on Ukraine. And finally, on Wednesday, it was another abstention from India – the 5th one – when a resolution co-sponsored by Belarus, Syria and North Korea to consider the ‘humanitarian crisis in Ukraine’, failed to make it in the UN Security Council.

As a leader among the world’s nations, India has taken a considered decision in its National Interest and this has nothing to do with moral high ground or anything else. Indians are fully aware of the nature of this physical war.

This war  is not for annexation of Ukraine but to prevent future conflict of any kind between Russia and NATO. Bullying if any has been done by the USA and the NATO. Indians have been watching such great games for long and we have been victims ourselves of this in Kashmir.

Russia is India’s close friend and also the largest defence supplier and today accounts for 49% of her military hardware. Second, India is fully aware of the situation and knows that Russia has taken the ultimate step to safeguard its future security. So naturally India has only asked it to go for negotiations but has refused to kowtow the Western line.

During Indira Gandhi as PM in 1980, India had abstained on a resolution in the UN General Assembly that sought to condemn the Soviet Union’s invasion of Afghanistan. Earlier, also when Soviet tanks had entered Prague in 1968, India had stood with the USSR in the UN Security Council. In 1971, Soviet Union had stood with India against the combined US- UK threat.

These positions have not changed much even after the Cold War got over. The world has not changed much. Western colonialism and economic imperialism of the 1960s and 70s still continue albeit in different forms.

As the 20th century came to a close, the USA has become a declining power. The four new rising powers are India, Russia, China and Japan. Though USA and China think that they are the only two super powers. Though  India has refused to accept such positions. No wonder came the Chinese attack in Galwan. However it backfired on China and instead demonstrated to the whole world that India is in a position to take on China on its own.

Seeing the present geopolitical  churning, it is in India’s interest to ensure that even Russia remains an equal balancing power in the World affairs as  much as USA. Though New Delhi will surely be ready to establish closer friendship with USA too, provided it is on the basis of equality and not on the basis of Senile Sermons. We will buy weapons and other   tech items from USA too provided they are ready to sell as merchants only as  we don’t let Shopkeepers dictate matters. One East India Company has taught us enough lessons.

China , Russia and India have also formed an economic bloc while both the US and China accuse each other of aggressive Trade practices. China’s regional ambitions in the Pacific are being countered by the quad alliance of US, India, Japan and Australia. However India has joined the QUAD alliance clearly telling everyone that it will not be a military bloc in any sense of the Word.

India’s direct interests are at stake as China is in illegal Occupation of its territory in Ladhak apart from forced occupation of Tibet. However Indian Army has fully checkmated  the PLA in Ladhak and Arunachal. In this jockeying, India  needs no one’s help and can fully look after its regional interests. In the fast-changing balance of forces, India is steering an independent course.

Whether others like it or not nothing can prevent India from becoming a major actor on the world stage. New post-Cold War blocs are being formed; In fact USA should have a new worry …a formidable economic block in the making INDIA – CHINA – RUSSIA.
