Somali forces eliminate over 40 leaders of al-Shabaab terrorist group

President of Somalia Hassan Sheikh Mohamud has declared an “all-out war” on al-Shabaab
Operatives from Somalia’s National Intelligence and Security Agency (NISA) have neutralized over 40 terrorist leaders of al-Shabaab terrorist group, according to a press release by the country’s Ministry of Information, Culture and Tourism posted on the X social network.
Somali forces carried out an operation in the Ceelhareeri area of Hiiraan region. The eliminated terrorists include Abuu Anas, head of al-Shabaab’s logistics for combat units, senior field commander Mohamed Ahmed, and Nuur Cabdi Rooble, responsible for al-Shabaab operations across Hiiraan, Middle Shabelle, Mudug, and Galgaduud regions.
