US Indo-Pacific Theatre Commander Also calls upon Army chief And IAF chief

Admiral Karambir Singh said the situation is being monitored through “mission-based” deployments

Apart from calling upon the Naval Chief, the Commander of US Indo Pacific Theatre Admiral John Aquilino also called upon the Army Chief Gen MM Naravane and Air Chief Marshal VR Chaudhari. Apart from the courtesy Call, the visiting American commander discussed a wide range of matters, including collaborative training and exercises. According to the Army, Admiral Aquilino discussed about methods to strengthen mutual defence ties.

Actually presently we do not have his exact single point counterpart in the form of Our Southern Theatre or Maritime Theatre. Our Eastern Naval Command, Southern Air Command and Andaman & Nicobar Command are our Forces who interact with the US Indo Pacific Command.

Admiral Aquilino was in India for the Raisina Dialogue, the country’s largest foreign policy and geo-economics gathering. He earlier had called upon the Raksha Mantri Shri Minister Rajnath Singh and Navy Chief Admiral R Hari Kumar on Wednesday.

During meeting with Air Chief Marshal Chaudhari the visiting American theatre commander discussed a wide range of matters, including collaborative training and exercises, according to the Indian Air Force.

“Today, Admiral John Aquilino, Commander of the United States Indo-Pacific Command, paid a visit to Air Chief Marshal VR Chaudhari #CAS. During the meeting, a wide range of matters of mutual interest were covered, including combined training and exercises “The IAF sent out a tweet.

The US Indo-Pacific Command (INDOPACOM) is the USA ‘s oldest and largest combatant command, in charge of all US military operations in the Indo-Pacific. Earlier this month, Defence Minister Singh paid a visit to the INDOPACOM headquarters in Hawaii.

Soon India should be having its own Indo Pacific Theatre Command with probable name of Maritime Command or Southern Theatre Command.
