US Naval Ship Enters South China Sea For Normal Movement

The USS John S. McCain entered waters of China’s Xisha Islands in the South China Sea on Friday. China wants that any naval vessel entering South China Sea must take its permission….this is pure bullshit. PLAN knows that it can do nothing about such movements but still it had warned and told the US Naval Ship to leave as stated by the People’s Liberation Army Southern Theater Command, said Senior Colonel Zhang Nandong, a spokesperson for the command.

The US frequently sends military ships to the South China Sea to enhance its presence in the region, which China thinks that it seriously infringes on China’s sovereignty and national interests, and damages regional peace and stability. Chinese say that the behavior of the US is blatant voyage hegemony and military provocation.

Zhang urged the US to stop such provocations and strictly manage its navy and air force’s actions to avoid unpredictable events.

Whereas it is very clear that China has no undisputed sovereignty of the islands in the South China Sea and nearby waters. Also as per international norms there is freedom of navigation on high seas except through 12 km of territorial waters.
