Bizarre : With Every Day Random Shootings Going On in USA, Washington Asks Its Citizens To “Exercise Increased Caution” While Travelling To India
There is not a single day when the News headlines do not scream of mass shooting in Schools or restaurants or Malls in the United States of America. On alternate days, papers give details of killings of individuals or even kidnapping and killing of entire families.
A large number of these victims have been Indians, at least of individual killings. However instead of taking preventive actions US on Friday asked its citizens to exercise “increased caution” while travelling to India due to “crime and terrorism” and advised them to not to travel to the union territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
Is the American Govt trying to play games with India. Do they think that after getting fresh parts for up gradation of their vintage obsolete F16, Pakistan will be able to mount a fresh wave of terrorism in India. We’ll let them just try it, in the bargain they will lose both Pakistan Occupied Kashmir and Pakistan Occupied Baluchistan. USA will not be able to do a fig about it.
In a new travel advisory issued on Friday, the US State Department reduced the India Travel Advisory Level to 2 on a scale of one to 4 with the latter being the highest.. India too should issue a similar advisory to Indians planning to visit USA. After all most of the American States and cities like New York have become most dangerous places on this earth.
The State Department in a separate advisory, a day earlier, had put Pakistan on Level 3 and asked its citizens to reconsider their travel especially its restive provinces due to terrorism and sectarian violence.. It seems that jokers sitting in the American Foreign Ministry will always try and equate Pakistan with India. So when warning their citizens regarding Pakistan, they also ensured that similar advisory is issued for India also.
“Exercise increased caution in India due to crime and terrorism,” said the State Department.. ‘Do not travel to: The union territory of Jammu and Kashmir (except the eastern Ladakh region and its capital, Leh) due to terrorism and civil unrest. Within 10 km of the India-Pakistan border due to the potential for armed conflict,” it said.
According to the travel advisory, “Indian authorities report rape is one of the fastest growing crimes in India. Violent crime, such as sexual assault, has occurred at tourist sites and in other locations. “The advisory said that “terrorists may attack with little or no warning, targeting tourist locations, transportation hubs, markets/shopping malls, and government facilities.
The US government has limited ability to provide emergency services to US citizens in rural areas from eastern Maharashtra and northern Telangana through western West Bengal as US government employees must obtain special authorisation to travel to these areas,” said the travel advisory.
The above shows that what the USA State Department needs is a well aimed kick between its legs.
