China’s Strategic Deterrence To Be Built Around More Nuclear Missiles

The Chinese are determined to establish their hegomony on the whole world. So their most important task, as advocates by the Global Times is to rapidly increase the number of commissioned nuclear warheads, and the DF-41s, the strategic missiles that are capable to strike long-range and have high-survivability, in the Chinese arsenal. This is the cornerstone of China’s strategic deterrence.

Chinese aim to be fully prepared for an intense showdown between China and all its adversaries. Therefore they are feverishly developing and deploying a large number of Dongfeng-41, and JL-2 and JL-3 (both intercontinental-range submarine-launched ballistic missile) to form the pillar of their strategic force. The Chinese plan to increase the number of their nuclear warheads so as to reach the quantity that makes all others shiver by even thinking of engaging in a military confrontation with China.

The Chinese Communist Party thus is of the opinion that by increasing the nuclear warheads number to that of the USA, they can easily manage divergences with Washington to avoid minor incidents sparking a war.

From the above it is very clear that India has to be fully prepared to defend itself from China. To do this, India must have 10000km range Agni and K10 ( submarine launched missiles ) fully operational.

Thus as a strategic deterrence, India needs to plan for deployment of all its SSBNs of ARIHANT class by 2025. They must be armed with K10 missiles of 10000 km range to cover entire China from deep inside the Indian Ocean. By 2035, the Indian Navy should plan for a total of 12 x SSBNs, in order to have atleast 4 to 6 always stationed at their launch stations.
