G7 plans to increase economic support of Ukraine to $39bln in 2023

On Thursday, Bangalore hosted a meeting of the finance ministers and the governors of the central banks of the Group of Seven nations

 The G7 nations plan to raise the financial support of Ukraine to $39 billion in 2023, according to the joint statement adopted at a meeting of the G7 finance ministers and central bank governors in India’s Bangalore on Thursday.

“For 2023, based on the government of Ukraine’s needs, we have increased our commitment of budget and economic support to $39 billion,” the statement said.

On Thursday, Bangalore hosted a meeting of the finance ministers and the governors of the central banks of the Group of Seven (G7) nations. A similar meeting, but of the Group of Twenty (G20) countries, will take place on Friday. According to Japanese media, the participants in the G7 meeting are planning to release a joint statement after the talks in Bangalore.
