Disheartened By Congress Party, Sachin Tendulkar Gave This Message To The Nation and emphasized on improving the sports facilities in India.

He went on to explain all the health problems our country suffering from, which can be eliminated by playing sports. Sachin Tendulkar wants India to become Sports Playing Nation Instead of Sports Crazy Nation. (Watch the video at the bottom of the article).

Cricketing legend Sachin Tendulkar failed to make his maiden speech in the Rajya Sabha on Thursday as Congress members continued to disrupt proceedings over Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s remark against his predecessor Manmohan Singh during the Gujarat poll campaign.

Dressed in crisp Nehru jacket and black trousers, the batting maestro took guard to speak on ‘Right to Play and the Future of Sports in India’ soon after the House reassembled postlunch in what would have been his first speech in four years. But he could not even make the opening remarks in the midst of slogan-shouting by the Congress benches.

This was the fifth day in a row that Congress had disrupted the proceedings in the Upper House to press their demand for PM to clarify his remarks against Singh.

Even though Naidu prodded Tendulkar to start his speech, he stood quietly for almost 10 minutes, bemused by the unruly scenes. Naidu later adjourned the House until 11 am on Friday.

SP’s Jaya Bachchan, who got a miniature bat and cup autographed by Tendulkar, said: “He has earned name for India at the world stage. It is a matter of shame that he was not allowed to speak.” Congress MP Renuka Chowdhary, however, shot back asking if “being awarded Bharat Ratna gave one the licence to speak in Parliament”. “Inside Parliament all MPs have equal right to speak,” she commented.

Tendulkar has attended Rajya Sabha for no more than 20-odd days in the past four years and never participated in any debate. However, he has allocated nearly 98 per cent of his MPLAD funds to the tune of Rs 30 crore. Over 60 per cent of the projects have been completed.
