True COVID WARRIOR
No 6569410, L/Nk Kesho Lal Verma (Retd), ASC (MT), D O.B. 22 Nov 1922 had served with Royal Indian Army Service Corps (MT), South East Asia Command prior to independence. He had been stationed in Sri Lanka and elsewhere.
Today this Veteran came to the Station HQ Jalandhar and handed over a cheque of Rs 1 lakh to the Station Commander towards COVID fight. He is 99 years old and God will surely let him complete his century next year.
The Nation must salute this Soldier and the Chief Of Army Staff should personally acknowledge this great noble deed done by an Ex Servicemen.
On one hand we have people who are selling Oxygen and life saving drugs and equipment in the blackmarket, charging exhorbiant rates fir ambulance services and hospital beds and here we have this old man donating a part of his life savings. Our country still functions because of such people.
