PETA is Dimwitted In Trying To Foist Its “Vegan awareness” over 7000 years + Awareness of The Indians

An Amul branded refrigerator at a store in Mumbai, in March 2021

Amul had rightly taken on the self styled Pundits claiming to represent a non-profit organization called PETA, last week over charges of animal cruelty. This came after the haughty PETA India asked the cooperative to switch to producing vegan milk.

Dairy giant Amul’s advertisement last week telling off non-profits over charges of animal cruelty indicates that the milk cooperative is rightly representing the majority of the Indians whose awareness is being questioned by western institutions pretending to be reservoirs of human wisdom. Unlike Americans and Europeans there is hardly any impact of such “ knowledge “ on the majority of Indians. We Indians are fully aware how such research are done and why they are propagated. PETA in fact should be worried about rising meat consumption in USA and Europe. They should conduct awareness among western people, and ask those People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA).

These NGOs think of themselves as Lords of this creation. No wonder PETA issued a grandiose statement to News Agency on its report, ‘Amul turns to Lord Krishna, Goumata to counter PETA & hail India’s cultural links with milk’, PETA India’s vegan outreach coordinator Dr Kiran Ahuja said Amul’s “extreme and aggressive” reaction to a “mere” letter about vegan eating indicates that the company is worried…..

Ahuja said PETA had simply informed Amul about the rising interest in vegan foods and the lucrative opportunity plant milk provides. Instead of writing to Amul, PETA is free to run own campaigns and test the truth of their Knowledge. However directly or indirectly do not try to tout your KNOWKEDGE as superior.

The Amul ad had come nearly a month after PETA India asked the dairy cooperative to switch to producing vegan milk. The US-based animal rights body told the Indian giant in a letter, “If you can’t beat them, join them”, pointing to the rising interest in “vegan milk”.

The ad sought to highlight the cultural and spiritual significance of dairy in India, adding that milk is a completely natural superfood, and vegetarian, while “plant-based beverages” contain additives like stabilisers and thickening agents, and cost six times more…..This is absolutely correct fact. Indians clearly remember how Horlicks etc had run indirect campaigns against milk drinking. Similar campaigns took place against Indian Ghee, mustard oil and Coconut oil. List is endless.

In her statement, Ahuja denounced Amul’s move, saying that people in India as well as all over the world are going vegan not just over concerns related to animal cruelty but also health and environment. So Ahuja ji, if you and your PETA has started a Mass Movement then why are you trying to run down AMUL. People themselves will stop buying Amul products if they feel that drinking cow’s milk is wrong.

“In fact, so many people today are vegan, that Amul can’t even seem to avoid using vegans in its topical ads. PETA India has had to tell Amul that tennis champion Novak Djokovic and (Hollywood actor) Joaquin Phoenix are vegan after the company used their likeness in various ads,” she said.

“We approached Amul to consider a shift toward plant-based milk since they already have some vegan products in their portfolio like peanut butter and chocolates. We even approached them to schedule a meeting to find a solution to this problem but we have yet to receive a response from them,” she said.

Well at least in India, AMUL is not a problem and it will never be …..but many foreign financed NGOs have become a problem in India and for India. PETA shouldn’t become one of them.
