While Tibetans protest against China in New Delhi, Peking lodges diplomatic protest over Arunachal Pradesh

PM Narendra Modi seen with Chief Minister Pema Khandu during Sela Tunnel inauguration

China has been in military occupation of Tibet since 1959 and refuses to vacate this country of peace loving people. The Government of Tibet is functioning in Exile in Dharamshala since last 64 years.

A few days back Tibetans once again carried out a peaceful protest in front of Chinese Embassy in New Delhi, on the occasion of anniversary of their country by the army of Communist China.

Mean while displaying it’s foolish and at the same time arrogance, leadership of the Chinese Communist Party on March 11 lodged a diplomatic protest with India over Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Arunachal Pradesh last week.

They think that by reiterating their claim over the area so many times, it will make it their land.Chinese say that India’s moves will “only complicate” the boundary question.

Why should it when China and India have no common boundary. In the Himalayas We as a country have International borders with only Tibet and Bhutan.

Prime Minister Modi on Saturday had dedicated to the nation the Sela Tunnel built at an altitude of 13,000 feet in Arunachal Pradesh that will provide all-weather connectivity to strategically located Tawang and is expected to ensure better movement of troops along the frontier region with Chinese Occupied Tibet.

The ₹825 crore tunnel, constructed on the road connecting Assam’s Tezpur to Arunachal Pradesh’s West Kameng district, is being billed as the longest bi-lane road tunnel in the world at such an altitude.

The Sela Tunnel will provide for better movement of troops and weaponry to various forward locations along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) along the Tibetan border, according to military officials.

China, which forcefully occupied Tibet in1959, claims Arunachal Pradesh as South Tibet, routinely objects to Central political leaders’ visits to the State to highlight its claims. Beijing has also named the area as Zangnan….India needs to rename all the Chinese Provinces having borders with Tibet like …Xinjiang and Yunnan, Sichuan, Quining etc.

India has repeatedly rejected all such China’s territorial claims over Arunachal Pradesh, as the State is an integral part of the country. New Delhi has also dismissed Beijing’s move to assign “invented” names to the area, saying it did not alter the reality.

How foolish Chinese leadership can become can be seen from this statement of theirs :

“China never recognised the so-called Arunachal Pradesh illegally set up by India and firmly opposes it,” he said.

The China-India boundary question has yet to be resolved. India has no right to arbitrarily develop the area of Zangnan in China, he said. “Relevant moves by India only complicate the boundary question.

China is strongly dissatisfied with and firmly opposed to the leader’s visit to the eastern section of the China-India boundary,” he said. “We have made solemn representations to India,” he added.

China sooner or later has to vacate Tibet or should be ready to lose even Xinjiang because even Quigher people are fed up of Chinese oppression.
